Following our motion at Rochford District Council on the 17th September 2024, as leader of the Council, I was asked to write to the Chancellor of the Exchequer to pause and introduce a new threshold and write to our MP’s to ask them to give their support to halting the changes to the Winter Fuel payment eligibility.

Since sending the letters I have received a response from Bayo Alaba as below
To date (27th October 2024), I have not received a response from the Chancellor or Mark Francois. I will update this post if and when I receive future responses.

I have received a response from Mark Francois MP
